Join hundreds of adults, teens, and children for the original Jewish all-nighter! It is a dusk until dawn gathering that offers free learning with over 40 rabbis and Jewish teachers, plus snacks, musical prayer services, and room for napping if you wish!

No previous background is necessary, and all are welcome. Teachers range from secular to Orthodox, and will address Jewish topics of all sorts.

This annual event celebrates the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which commemorates the Jewish people receiving the Torah. It is called a Tikkun Leyl Shavuot, meaning a gathering to learn and celebrate for the night of Shavuot. Jewish Gateways cosponsors this event, and Rabbi Bridget teaches one of the sessions.

DATE: Tuesday, May 18

TIME: Event begins at 6:30 PM with a Musical Shavuot Service, followed by full schedule of learning sessions all night until dawn Wednesday! Rabbi Bridget teaches 11:15 PM-midnight. Special program for children 6:30-8 PM, plus free childcare 8 PM-7 AM.

PLACE: Jewish Community Center of the East Bay, 1414 Walnut St., Berkeley

Snacks available, and a quiet room for napping -- bring sleeping bags and pillows if you want.

For more information, including a complete schedule for the event, please contact Rabbi Bridget at Jewish Gateways, (510) 559-8140, or rabbibridget@jewishgateways.org.
