Hanukkah Pop 'n Latkes: A Festival of Giving, Dancing, and Light
Sunday, December 10, 2017
Already dreaming about latkes? This year, they'll be paired with dancing! Join us for our annual community celebration, where we'll light the candles together at our all-ages extravaganza.
Enjoy craft-making, storytelling, singalongs, and a child-friendly screening. Visit the gift-wrapping station to beautifully package your donated gifts of brand-new children's toys, and assemble a homemade note to go with gift cards to be donated.
Cozy up in the book nook, pop a move in the theater, and celebrate the season in our warm, inclusive environment.
Bring your light to the festival. Your donation of brand-new children's toys and games, along with gift cards, will be wrapped at the festival, and will then be donated to the JFCS Holiday Giving Program. Recipients are newly arrived refugees, immigrants, and low-income families. Gift cards will go to LGBTQIA refugees.
For those planning Hanukkah gifts, we’ll showcase jewelry, prints, and other wares from local Bay Area artists.
Enjoy delicious latkes, lively music, and the first (and earliest!) candle-lighting of the season.
