Rabbi Bridget's Session: The Loneliness Crisis: How Jewish Wisdom Can Help, 3:00-3:50 pm in the JCC Theater

Are you or those you love lonely?
We may feel lonely when surrounded by others, or at peace when alone. Sometimes loneliness is found in isolation, sometimes in the space between the person you know yourself to be and the people in your life who do not see who you are. Loneliness is pervasive in our society. The Covid pandemic exacerbated and laid bare the national epidemic of loneliness that was already underway, which increases every year.

Why is this happening? Even more importantly, how can we respond? Join Rabbi Bridget for an insightful exploration of Jewish wisdom on loneliness and ways we can draw on it to help ourselves, other individuals, and our communities.

WHO: No previous background is necessary, and all are welcome!

This gathering celebrates the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which commemorates the Jewish people receiving the Torah, and in particular the Ten Commandments. It is called a Tikkun Shavuot. Jewish Gateways cosponsors this event and our Rabbi Bridget Wynne teaches one of the sessions.
