East Bay Purim Fest
Sunday, March 12, 11:00am-1:30pm

Join Jewish Gateways at the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay for the annual family-friendly Purim celebration, a time for disguises, silliness, and fun. Come celebrate courage, hope, and giving back to our community. We’ll hear the story of Queen Esther, eat lots of hamantaschen (special Purim cookies), make crafts, and sing together.

Children and adults are invited to come in costume, or just Purim silliness. A goofy hat or your shirt on backwards will do fine.

Featuring:

  • Purim sing-along with Isaac Zones

  • Special telling of the Purim story with Maggidah Liora Brosbe

  • Ask-the-Rabbi Booth with Rabbi Bridget

  • Kid-friendly Purim crafts

  • Face painting for all ages

  • Assembling of Mishloach Manot (gifts of food) for community members in need

  • Hamantaschen galore!
