Discussion 1 - A Journey Inside the Belly: Exploring Jonah and the Power of Return

On Yom Kippur afternoon, many communities read the Book of Jonah. Join Rabbi Steph Kennedy as we dive into the Book of Jonah and explore how its lessons on repentance and second chances can inspire us to reflect, repair, and renew.

Discussion 2 - In It Together: A Space for Listening and Connection

Join Rabbi Bridget Wynne to reflect on what it feels like in this moment to be an American and to be Jewish, or connected to Jewish community. We’ll listen to one another and hear what brings us hope in these challenging times.

Healing Service

Our healing service offers a chance to gather with others for song, prayer, and reflection. We draw on Jewish traditions to support us in facing life’s challenges and finding comfort in the presence and support of the community.

Yizkor - Memorial Service

Time: 5:00 - 5:30 pm PT

Location: Epworth United Methodist Church and Zoom

Our memorial service provides space to individually and collectively remember family members and friends who have died. This service includes prayer, song, silence, and the sharing of names of those we have lost.

Ne'ila - Closing Service

Time: 5:30 - 6:15 pm PT

Location: Epworth United Methodist Church and Zoom

In this final service of the High Holidays, we come together in song and prayer to embrace awe, relief, joy, and gratitude. The service culminates in the last great blast of the shofar, celebrating the chance to begin again in this new year.
