Choosing a Haggadah

Passover 2026 will be celebrated from April 1 until April 9

When you are interested in choosing or purchasing haggadahs, consider making a positive impact by supporting Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley, the last remaining brick and mortar Judaica store in the Bay Area. They offer a fantastic selection of haggadahs. You can visit the store in person to find one that appeals to you, or you can place an order online or by phone.

If you're looking for a modern haggadah that is broadly inclusive and designed for general audiences, you can use or adapt the downloadable Velveteen Rabbi's Haggadah. It includes all the traditional elements of the seder and augments them with contemporary poetry, moments of mindfulness, a theology of liberation, and sensitivity to different forms of oppression.

You can also create your own haggadah online or check out our haggadah selections below.
