You do not need to be local to the Bay Area to attend. We encourage you to invite out-of-town family to join us online. Learn more about our new home for the High Holidays, read our full announcement here.
Who: Our family services are tailored to children under 9 and their families. We welcome all: interfaith, intercultural, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, low-income, single parents, grandparents, Jew-ish, Jews by choice, non-Jews, cultural and secular Jews.
What to Expect: Both of our family-focused services include stories, fun songs, and simple prayers. No knowledge or Jewish experience required! Following services, we offer hands-on activities and crafts for children of all ages.
Donations: Our services are supported entirely by the generous tax-deductible donations of attendees. To help cover the costs of facilities, materials, and dedicated staff, we ask that each family donate $40 per family service you wish to attend. It’s important to us that our services are financially accessible, so this suggested donation does not fully cover our expenses. We ask that you contribute as much as you are able so we can continue to welcome all. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Registration: Your registration offers you the option to attend our in-person services at Epworth United Methodist Church and/or our virtual services. You do not need to decide in advance, although we ask for your preference as part of our registration process. A link to our virtual services will be emailed to all who register. Look for this link in your email two weeks ahead of services.
Schedule: Please view the full schedule below (be sure to click “see all”) for all services, events, and family-friendly activities.
Accessibility: Epworth United Methodist Church is ADA accessible. If you have concerns or need special accommodation, please email us in advance at highholidays@jewishgateways.org. For those concerned about COVID-19 who still wish to attend in person, we will provide masks and ensure extra space for social distancing.
